Water accidentally entered the junction box, but the hollow air-cable of the submersible level gauge did not allow water to get in even though it was submerged in water. Do you know why? Who can guess? Pig Brother is giving away 100 yuan, valid for 10 days. . :lol

It means the air pressure is higher than the “water pressure” outside, right? (I’m guessing since I haven’t seen it in person); P (No effort, no reward: lol)
Generally, a polymer plug is added to allow ventilation and water filtration.

The junction box has accidentally gotten water in it, just like this.
It is recommended to drill and thread holes in the junction box cover, connect it to the air supply for pressure testing, and seal the ends of the ducts to check for leaks – the result will be clear right away.

According to the logic applied in factories, drilling a hole and threading a screw would create another point of leakage, wouldn’t it? 2. As for water getting into the instrument enclosure, it’s better to be prepared for anything – after all, accidents can happen. Carelessness in tightening the cover, failure to tighten the locking cable, aging of the sealing ring, strong winds and heavy rain causing the cables to sway, and the junction box being flooded – all of these can lead to water getting inside the enclosure. 3. What’s worse is in some high-humidity environments, such as underground water supply wells and underground canal tunnels; junction boxes and instrument enclosures with protection ratings of IP65–IP68 are unable to prevent water vapor from penetrating and causing water ingress! Within just over half a year, the terminals inside the junction box will become covered in rust! What to do?!
Generally, it’s caused by aging seals or gland fittings that allow water to enter, or by water seeping in along the cables. In our factory, we had a situation where a junction box wasn’t dry; after several days of investigation, it was found that water had entered the junction box on site, and from there it flowed along the cable shielding to reach the junction box.
Was glue injected inside during cable manufacturing?
