I would like to buy a HART475 handheld communicator. I have a few questions: 1. Imported versions cost tens of thousands of yuan, while domestic ones only cost 3,000 yuan – will they work? I said that 3,000 on Taobao would be enough, but others didn’t believe it. I got in touch with the buyer and explained that domestic versions have 95% of the same functions as imported ones, except that the feedback function of the valve positioner doesn’t work. 2. Does the manual operator come with a current generation signal? Is it necessary to purchase another current signal generator if I buy the manual operator? Last time I borrowed a 475, and someone said it cost 80,000 – why is there such a big difference?
Domestic hand controllers also exist that can generate fake current signals, and some of them can provide 24V voltage to instruments. Emerson can provide the 475 current signal, but it cannot supply 24V power. The newly released AMS-Trex can handle both current and voltage; the relevant function should be selected during the specification process.
The domestic version of 475 costs only 2,000, while the imported one costs 20,000. When asked the seller, they said that the domestic version has most of the functions; only some less common ones are missing. What exactly are these less common functions?
