I have a Fisher DVC6010 locator that is used in conjunction with a current amplifier. The requirements are quite high: when adjusting the parameters of the locator, it works well during upward movement but not during downward movement, and vice versa. Additionally, it needs to respond quickly to small step changes of 3%, which makes tuning it very difficult. Do you have any experience with this?

Fisher positioners are generally used in situations where high precision in positioning is required. If the problem persists even after automatic calibration, it is recommended to replace the positioner. Such positioners place high demands on the actuator motor and the control motherboard; often, reassembling them does not restore the previous level of control performance.
It is recommended to try modifying the gain of the locator.
It is recommended to first check the output pipeline of the positioner and whether there are any leaks in the cylinder. Then, perform performance optimization adjustments on the positioner to fine-tune the parameters; after the optimization is complete, assess the situation.
