Will the silicone oil and chlorine in the pressure gauge react?

For conditions involving chlorine, attention should be paid to the materials in contact. There is also the option of a sealing fluid; even with a sealing diaphragm, what if the diaphragm ruptures? And it’s a common fault. Therefore, the isolation fluid must not react with the medium
The diaphragm can be filled with oil; can it be filled with 0.1 milliliters or 0.2 milliliters? In other words, just one drop of silicone oil – one drop is enough to trigger the reaction that eliminates whiteness. There’s no need to worry about that at all. I don’t believe that one drop of silicone oil reacting with chlorine could burn a chemical plant to ashes :Lol, the radiation source is just a miniature atomic egg; the energy it releases is enormous, on par with that of an elephant. Chemical plants use it in a very straightforward and reliable manner – what’s there to worry about with just one drop of silicone oil? . .
You can’t forget all that you learned in chemistry over the past 30 years or so… Dry chlorine gas – does it have similar properties to nitrogen and oxygen, being rather inert? Wet chlorine – should Mabide call it acid mist?
It probably won’t. Typical pressure gauges have a diaphragm layer to prevent the medium from coming into direct contact with silicone oil. ;P;P
Due to reaction condition limitations, the reaction rate is very slow; it is a microreaction. Under normal circumstances, it’s not noticeable. Unless there is a leak.
If a fluorine-based oil is used for the transmitter or pressure gauge that measures chlorine gas.
When wet chlorine reacts with silicone oil, an explosion can occur; therefore, ordinary users choose fluorine-based oils when filling oils in the presence of wet chlorine!
You need to consider what would happen if the diaphragm leaks
Dry chlorine gas is very stable and not highly corrosive
