What does 3W LOOP mean in the test lead sockets of a process verifier?

Does a 3w loop refer to a three-wire signal circuit? Please clarify, thank you.
No pictures? Literally, the first thing that comes to mind is a 3-wired loop.

Meters with 3 or 4 wires are thermal resistance meters; those that don’t have a power supply are generally two-wire meters
3W refers to a three-wire system, while LOOP means circuit, that is, it has a built-in power supply function
