The ammonia nitrogen treatment tanks are equipped with JUMO pH meters, but due to the impurities present in the tanks as well as the need for stirring, coupled with a temperature of around 100°C, the pH meters break down after some time. The management has requested that this issue be resolved – do anyone have any ideas on how to deal with it?
Glass electrodes cannot be used at 100°C! A small pump can be used to pump the medium out for circulation; the circulation pipe is fitted with a jacket through which a coolant flows to keep the temperature at the electrode below 50 degrees Celsius.

To put it simply, there is another solution, if money isn’t a concern. For PH agents, the highest temperature I’ve seen is 130°C. You can buy those from E+H; just inform the manufacturer of the medium’s temperature. If cost is a concern, follow what was suggested in floor 2.

Ignoring money and operating costs, what’s the big deal if a few PH probes get damaged? It’s like the chemical wind from a chemical plant; it blows away a few seedlings, right? That’s amazing! :lol
A pH meter is inherently a consumable item that needs to be replaced regularly, every six months to a year. If that’s the schedule, then there’s nothing special to deal with.

The owner’s device is likely a portable pH meter made of glass; ordinary glass electrodes can generally handle temperatures of up to around 50 degrees only, and they will break down quickly when used with water samples at high temperatures. You can try replacing the electrolyte in the electrode; if that doesn’t work, you’ll need to buy new electrodes suitable for high-temperature environments. The material seems to be some kind of polyester? It looks quite similar to the online electrode that connects to the digital controller.
