Reset switch

To my friends working in automatic control, I have a question. The electrical department asked me to create a soft switch that allows the two pumps to interlock with each other. When the normally open contact closes, it is equivalent to providing a DO point to the electrical system; I just don’t understand whether this requires a reset. Is it to directly configure the on/off switch: press it once to engage the relay, and press it again to disengage the relay? Previously, I developed an electric on/off valve that required interlocked valve closure, with unlocking necessitating a reset. I don’t understand how to interpret this reset for these two.
Who told you to do this? Ask them… As I understand it, there should be an insertion and removal process involved; it’s not electrical in nature. This is just for reference
It is considered in this way: a reset circuit together with an RS flip-flop is required, with the R terminal connected to the reset button. There are usually interlock conditions as well; once the interlock returns to normal, it is necessary to reset the flip-flops.
