I can’t understand the program for activating a delay timer on an S7-300 PLC. As shown in the diagram, why doesn’t T0 get activated at any point? It keeps timing continuously, in a cyclic manner; I really don’t understand this program
From your program, it seems that timing is continuous; once 5 seconds have passed, the timer turns on for just one scanning cycle before turning off, and then timing starts again
The 3rd floor is correct. Your approach with the timer is to turn it on when the set time expires, and then use the pin that activates the timer to turn it off again, thereby resetting the timer.
It seems I understand now – the location where the timer is located cannot have things turned on at the same time; it can only set a timer repeatedly, which is why setting a value later also has no effect: handshake
