A water circulation system was installed in the office building, using PVC pipes; however, there is no dedicated grounding point – only the ground wire from the three-prong outlet on the wall. From the picture, it seems that your flow meter has a grounding ring; try connecting this grounding ring directly to the metal water pipe as a ground wire
Check if there is a equipotential bonding box in your room. If so, it has grounding terminals inside. Furthermore, PVC pipes are non-conductive; therefore, the flowmeter body and the grounding ring need to be connected together and grounded as a single unit.
Some flowmeters are virtually grounded and do not require a ground wire. If the flow rate remains stable without grounding here, then it’s not necessary to ground it; after all, it’s just water, so there’s no need to worry about static electricity buildup. (If powered by 220V AC, the enclosure must be connected to the ground for protection.)
Logically, Yokogawa’s electromagnetic flowmeters should be quite stable; the fluctuation range at the moment is simply too excessive
