In-situ level indicator

Dear sea friends, if we want to add an on-site level indicator for a styrene storage tank, which one would be the best choice? Thank you!
Could the ball get clogged due to aggregation? Of course, regular cleaning should not pose a big problem, right? Is it possible to obtain a signal from the existing level gauge?
Glass tube level gauges and magnetic flip plate level gauges – these are the two most commonly used types.
