A pneumatic butterfly valve consists of a pneumatic actuator and a butterfly valve. Pneumatic butterfly valves are primarily opened and closed by rotating the butterfly disc along the valve stem. This type of valve is mainly used as a stop valve. Of course, it can also be operated for regulation and proportional control, but its significant difference from quickly installable butterfly valves is that it lacks similar manual operation functions; pneumatic butterfly valves can be shut off at any time, and they offer proportional control capabilities as well as emergency shutdown functions. The main control methods for pneumatic butterfly valves include hydraulic, electric, worm gear, and electro-hydraulic control; they are commonly used in industries such as construction, food processing, pharmaceuticals, heating, chemicals, petroleum, and power generation. With pneumatic butterfly valves, and during their long-term use, leakage can occur between the sealing surfaces: 1. There is debris between the sealing surfaces ； 2. The rubber gasket is worn out or damaged due to aging. Solutions to leakage at the sealing surface of butterfly valves. 1. Remove debris and do not damage the sealing surface. 2. Replace the rubber lining ring. Analysis of the causes of axial leakage at both ends of the pneumatic butterfly valve during operation: 1. Wear of the rubber gasket and the hole in the valve stem where it fits together. 2. Solutions to butterfly valve leakage caused by wear of the “0” seal ring: 1. Replace the rubber lining ring. 2. Replace the type “0” ring. Analyze the reasons why the butterfly valve disc does not open and close smoothly during operation: 1. Sticking at the contact point between the valve stem and the shaft sleeve. 2.
