I encountered a problem and turned to the experts on the forum for advice. When it comes to installing instrumentation cables for long-distance transmission on-site, the common approach is to use explosion-proof gland fittings (which provide a tight seal around the cable) together with flexible tubes and conduit pipes for laying the cables. An explosion-proof gland (cable clamp seal) has been used before the flexible tube; this ensures that the hazardous sources at the instrument end are completely isolated. So, is it necessary to use an explosion-proof design for the flexible tube that comes afterward? Is it enough to just be waterproof and dustproof?
