Question: What are the typical pressure ratings for fluorinated single-seat valves, ball valves, and butterfly valves? Do you have a CL300? I see that most of them are CL150. What are some common materials used for fluorine-lined surfaces? PTFE\F46? Is the base material of the valve body usually ductile iron? Are flanged valves with a stainless steel body common?
The lining material determines the pressure level; it won’t be very high. 150LB is a common value, while 300LB requires appropriate temperature and medium conditions. Carbon steel is commonly used for the valve body, whereas cast iron valve bodies can withstand higher pressures.
There are also many stainless steel valve bodies; lithium hexafluorophosphate valves use a stainless steel substrate with a fluorine coating, and the same applies to the pharmaceutical and chemical industries as well
Common fluorinated lining materials include F46, PTFE (F4), and PFA. The valve body is usually made of cast steel, and fluorinated-lined stainless steel valve bodies are also common.
