I have no foundation; I started studying recently. The configuration software for 300 and 700 was installed, OPC settings were used for simulation, and the simulation data could be read through the client, but writing to the SV of the circuit had no effect at all. I don’t know why; is it because the OPC simulation mode ignores my writes? Is it still because of the lack of a dongle? Help needed
Hello, regarding your question, there may be several reasons for this: 1. The OPC simulation mode ignores write operations: OPC simulation mode is generally used only to test whether communication is functioning properly, rather than for actual control operations. To perform control operations, it is necessary to use a real device and connect it to the OPC server. 2. Reasons for the absence of a dongle: If your configuration software requires a dongle to function properly, failure to insert the dongle correctly can also result in write operation failures. Please make sure the crypto USB device has been properly inserted and configured correctly in the software. 3. Permission issue: Some measurement and control systems require authorization to perform write operations; you need to check whether your account has the appropriate permissions. It is recommended that you check the above aspects first; if the problem still persists, you may consider contacting the configuration software manufacturer or DCS supplier for technical support. .
