ZKTECH TPT wins bid for Sinopec’s AI demonstration project for the development of new polyolefin products, addressing key challenges in the research and development of high-end new materials. 2025-11-03 ZKTECH TPT won the bid for Sinopec’s AI demonstration project aimed at developing new polyolefin products, thereby tackling key issues in the creation of high-end new materials. On October 30, ZKTECH successfully secured the contract for the “Sinopec Artificial Intelligence Application Demonstration Project (Polyolefin Plant New Product Development Scenario)” . This project relies on ZKTECH’s self-developed time-series large model, TPT (Time-series Pre-trained Transformer), and integrates technologies such as AI, quantitative computing, and mechanism analysis. It focuses on the development of high-end polyolefin new materials, creating a new paradigm for AI applications that covers areas such as new material development and process formula optimization. This win marks a significant breakthrough by TPT in the research and development of core processes in the petrochemical industry; it will facilitate the development of new industrial-grade materials and processes, thereby providing strong impetus for the transformation and upgrading of China’s process industries. Leveraging years of technical expertise and industry insights in the polyolefin sector, Zhongkong Technology has developed a systematic capability for mechanism modeling that spans from microstructure to macroscopic properties, enabling an intelligent mapping between \"process formulations + operating conditions\" and the characteristics of polyolefin products. This means that TPT of Zhongkong Technology has mastered the core know-how in polyolefin production, enabling forward search for product quality indicators and reverse, precise inversion of key process parameters, thus facilitating the full deployment of scenarios for the development of new polyolefin grades. This capability will enable Sinopec to utilize AI across the entire process in the development of new polyolefin grades, and to put these new grades into commercial production at its existing facilities.
