One-third of the valve bodies in our factory are severely damaged and are currently being replaced. We suspect there is an issue with the treatment method used inside the connection ports; we know that asbestos rope and concentrate powder mixed with asphalt are used for this purpose. What is the proper way to do it? (How to lay the asbestos rope, how many turns to use, and how to add the concentrate powder and asphalt?) I seek guidance from experts.
When you say the valve body is damaged, which part of it is damaged? Asbestos rope is generally used in two layers, which are pressed tightly together with an iron rod, after which it is poured with a mixture of concentrate powder and asphalt (50% each).
