What are the specific hot standby systems for chimneys? Is it feasible to insulate the chimney?
Insulate the chimney? That’s too naive; how much would that cost? For hot standby, it’s not only necessary to maintain heat retention, but also to keep the temperature at a certain level – I think at least 80 or 90 degrees is required. This is achieved by opening a little bit of the traffic valve to allow some smoke to pass through, thereby maintaining the temperature. Avoid damage caused by sudden heating of the chimney.
