It is reported that this project uses the CTEG technology for producing ethylene glycol from high-purity chemical synthesis gas to manufacture 400,000 tons of ethylene glycol ; To date, the licensing of Gaochem’s coal-based ethylene glycol technology has reached 16 companies, with a production capacity of 4.95 million tons. The 3.4 million tons per year coking and 400,000 tons per year ethylene glycol project of Linxin Coal Coking Co., Ltd., part of Shanxi Yongxin Group, is one of the key transformation and development projects in Linfen City for 2018. On March 28, 2018, the launching ceremony for site preparation of the alcohol project was held in Tangcheng Town, Anze County. It is expected that the tender for the design firm to prepare the construction drawings for this project will be launched in June 2018. The coal coking industry of Shanxi Yongxin Group is located in Tangcheng Industrial Park, Anze County, Linfen City. The production capacity has now been established at 1.2 million tons per year for high-quality primary coking coal, 1.8 million tons per year for grade A metallurgical coke, 400 million kWh per year in terms of energy generation through dry quenching of coke, and 360,000 tons per year for chemical products such as methanol and ammonia. In 2017, Yongxin Group made significant efforts to develop modern coal chemical projects and expand the downstream coal-based new materials industry chain. The plan is to complete the third-phase coking project with a capacity of 3.4 million tons per year, as well as two projects for producing ethylene glycol from coke oven gas at a capacity of 200,000 tons per project, by 2020 ; Complete the deep processing and comprehensive utilization of 300,000 tons per year of coal tar, with products including an 80,000 tons per year pinacol coke project, 100,000 tons per year of refined diesel naphtha, 30,000 tons per year of industrial naphthalene, 90,000 tons per year of heavy asphalt, 50,000 tons per year of ultra-high power electrodes, and 30,000 tons per year of lithium battery anode materials ; By 2022, the fourth phase of the coking project with an annual capacity of 3.4 million tons, as well as two projects for producing ethylene glycol from coke oven gas with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons each, were to be completed.
