The lifting of the two vessels and three cyclones in the reaction and regeneration system of the Qinghai Damei DMTO unit was completed. Author/Source: Date: 2018-08-29 Clicks: 26. On July 26, the upper cover of the third-stage cyclone separator of the DMTO unit in the Qinghai Damei project, constructed by Sinopec Fifth Construction Company, was successfully lifted; thereby, the work of segmental welding and installation of the core equipment in the reaction and regeneration system of the DMTO unit, namely the “two vessels and three cyclones”, was fully completed. The reactor, regenerator, and three-stage cyclone separator of the DMTO combined unit in the Wujian Qinghai Damei project are the core equipment of the facility; the reactor weighs 1,285.8 tons in total and has a height of 41.6 meters. Since October 8, 2017, when the lifting of the reactor skirt and lower head for the first unit of the reverse circulation and regeneration system began, the Qinghai Damei project team worked closely with other participating units such as the lifting team from the East China branch, demonstrating a strong determination to see the task through, and successfully lifted the large-scale equipment of the reverse circulation and regeneration system into place in an orderly manner. In total, 53 lifts were carried out for the reactor and related equipment, 28 lifts for the regenerator, and 13 lifts for the reactor’s three spinners. The installation process involved tasks such as alignment, welding, and lifting; important materials also required heat treatment, all of which laid a solid foundation for the successful completion of the installation by December 30th.

When reporting on large-scale lifting operations, it’s best to include photos from the site and provide descriptions of the equipment/cranes and other relevant details and parameters; otherwise, there is little in the way of visual impact.
