Hualu Hengsheng’s 500,000-ton coal-to-ethylene glycol project has completed the entire production process! The announcement states that the commissioning of this project will further enhance the company’s profitability. The construction site for the 500,000-ton per year ethylene glycol production facility of Shandong Hualu Hengsheng Chemical Co., Ltd. is located in the new factory area of this company within the Canal Economic Development Zone in Dezhou City. The total investment in this project amounts to 2.774 billion yuan. The production capacity is as follows: 500,000 tons per year of ethylene glycol, 15,000 tons per year of dimethyl carbonate, 33,000 tons per year of mixed monohydric alcohols, 22,000 tons per year of light dihydric alcohols, and 11,000 tons per year of heavy dihydric alcohols. Hualu Hengsheng has put into operation an ethylene glycol plant with an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons; this project was completed and brought online in May 2012. Hualu Hengsheng is currently a new type of chemical enterprise that operates through integrated production of multiple products. Its main business activities include the production and sale of chemical products and chemical fertilizers, as well as power generation and heat supply services. Main products: fertilizers, organic amines, adipic acid and its intermediates, acetic acid and its derivatives, polyols, etc. It currently has the capacity to produce 2.2 million tons of amino alcohol, 1.8 million tons of urea, 500,000 tons of acetic acid, 250,000 tons of DMF, 200,000 tons of mixed methylamine, 200,000 tons of polyols, 160,000 tons of adipic acid, and 50,000 tons of ethylene glycol per year.
