Yesterday and today, I felt quite confused; it’s as if too many things were stuffed into my head, leaving no room for storage, causing my brain to crash frequently. Coupled with the effects of “Come for a consultation” (nitrogen) and “Is it doomed?” (steam), my brain cells—despite my body weighing 150 pounds—seem to amount to only 2 milligrams in total. My IQ has dropped to the ppm level; in short, I’m completely bewildered. To prevent the spread of this intellectual cancer from causing IQ to continue dropping to the PPb level, I think it’s necessary to simulate driving in one’s mind. Thus, the summary is as follows: Assuming purging, airtightness is ensured, and the pressure test is completed successfully ; Various public media and auxiliary facilities, as well as drug solvents, are ready ; Establishment of steam pipeline network ; The feedwater torch on the steam drum was ignited ; The liquid levels in all three distillation towers have reached 60–80% ; The low-vapor line of the reboiler has been warmed up, and the process bypasses for the reboilers in the pre-tower and pressure tower have been closed. The induced draft fan and the blower were started up, and the system was pressurized to the starting pressure of the nitrogen compressor (I guess it’s around 7–8 kilograms). The anti-surge valve FV2575 of the nitrogen compressor was opened fully, and the nitrogen compressor C2001 was started up to establish a nitrogen circulation within the process system. The circulation path is as follows: C2001 – E2002 – R2003 – E2001 – H2001……D2005 – C2001. Supplementary nitrogen is supplied via the 3”-N-20-115-B2-N pipeline, with a system pressure of 10 kilograms (at the outlet of the nitrogen compressor). Convertor H2001 is ignited according to the ignition schedule (if available), with a low flame intensity and multiple points of ignition; the furnace pressure is set at -50 mm of water column, and nitrogen is used to raise the temperature during the conversion process. (At this time, methane is not introduced; from D1001 to E2006, the coil at E2004 contains no fluid and is in a dry burning state. The temperature of the flue gas ahead of E2004 must not exceed 200 degrees Celsius. Natural gas must then be introduced for protection, and the flow should be directed to the outlet PV1045 at R1002B for venting, while waiting for hydrogen to be mixed with cobalt and molybdenum.) The dry methane coming out of the natural gas inlet separator enters the low-temperature natural gas coil 2006 under a constant pressure of 50 kilograms. Under normal conditions, there is no need to pay attention to the bypass TV2220; after that, it passes into the cobalt-molybdenum inlet preheating coil 2004. (For now, the valve FV2150 on the return line from D2005 should be kept closed until a suitable hydrogen source is available.) With its temperature gradually increasing, it moves towards R1001; after exiting R1002A/B, it carries some powder with it and passes through the large pressure-control valve PV1045 – the pressure here is slightly higher than that of the nitrogen circulation system downstream, around 12 kilograms. From there, it is ejected through the flare, eventually emerging at the foot of the mountain. Thinking back to my former “grandiose statements” about natural gas and converted gas feels like it was in another lifetime. Previously, when I talked with friends, I said that process engineers in the natural gas chemicals industry were like natural gas that had not undergone any transformation or refinement – they merely had the dust, sulfur, mercury, and carbon removed from them, and they had some heat; such gas could only be used for combustion in flares or for cooking, and it couldn’t be turned into more sophisticated products. Back then we were irritable, but not to an extreme degree; it was possible for such gas to mix to a limited extent with air, and that wasn’t a big problem, as the explosion range was relatively narrow. Only when it becomes converted gas does it happen – just as when someone finally becomes a leader, their energy increases, their temper grows more fierce, and the range of the explosion expands; even a small amount of uncontrolled air mixture can lead to an explosion with severe consequences. Of course, after conversion into hydrocarbon gas, it can almost serve as the basis for synthesizing everything; having a bit of volatility is also acceptable. So, in the early stages of driving, what burns in the flare through PV1045 are we—who have not yet been converted into synthesis gas and are thus forced to be wasted needlessly!
