Is it necessary to set a minimum limit for the methanol content in C4 fractions after MTBE etherification?

Our company sets the target for methanol content in the C4 fraction after etherification at 0.5%–1.5%. The 1.5% limit is understandable, but I’m not sure why the lower limit is set at 0.5%. I would appreciate your insights! ! !
Generally, we keep the level below 0.5%. A high methanol content indicates that there is something wrong with your washing system; methanol carried in the C4 fraction after etherification can very likely affect the systems downstream
What’s unclear is: what’s the purpose of requiring methanol to be at least 0.5%?

Are you referring to the methanol specification in the feed of the extraction tower?
A low methanol level indicates an insufficient amount of methanol, which may result in some isobutylene not participating in the reaction; controlling the alcohol-to-olefin ratio follows the same principle, right?
