New recruit seeking help: 1. What is the purpose of this pipeline that carries liquid from the third liquid separator to the liquid phase of the ammonia washing tower? 2. The liquid phase from the ammonia washing tower goes to both the carbon dioxide stripping tower and the ammonia stripping tower. Why are two towers needed? Since both of these towers send the liquid to the boiler room for combustion, wouldn’t it be sufficient to use just one tower? What’s the difference between going up the tower and going down the tower?

Let’s talk about the second question first. Your process is quite advanced; the fluids coming out of the two towers are different – one contains more ammonia while the other contains more carbon. They also go to different locations in the boiler. If you take a closer look, you’ll understand
The third water separator sends some water to the stripping tower; another reason is likely the excessive ammonia nitrogen level, which affects the gasification process. This water is then stripped through a stripping system before being sent to either the flare or the boiler room.
