During operation of low-temperature methanol washing, an increase in the pressure difference across the filter at the bottom of the thermal regeneration tower occurred after fresh methanol was added to the methanol-depleted tank
During the methanol replenishment process, rust and sediment in the methanol supply lines are carried into the system. Meanwhile, changes in the flow conditions inside the lean methanol tank can also cause certain impurities to reach the subsequent systems; however, these usually get trapped in the filter at the inlet of the lean methanol pump, unless the flow conditions in the pipeline from the regeneration tower to the lean methanol tank are affected during the methanol replenishment process.
Agree with the first floor’s opinion; this increase in pressure difference should occur at the first downstream filter that is closest to the methanol feeding equipment.
