The 25th National \"Safety Production Month\" in 2026: Everyone should talk about safety and know how to handle emergencies; risks and hazards need to be identified and addressed. -------------------------------------------------- Recently, an expert review meeting for the feasibility study report of the \"Orchid Innovation and Integration Project – 50,000-ton capacity expansion of the green methanol production facility as part of a 100,000-ton annual production project\" was held at Danfeng Chemical Company, and the report passed the expert review successfully. For this conference, 9 senior experts in the domestic chemical industry were specially invited to form a review panel to assess the projects. Relevant entities such as Orchid Innovation, Tiandi Rongchuang, and Saiding Engineering Co., Ltd. attended the evaluation meeting. Before the meeting, the expert group conducted an on-site inspection of the Danfeng Chemical Plant area, observed the pilot-scale testing equipment at Tiandi Rongchuang, and learned about the actual operational status of the project’s processes. At the review meeting, the project developers and the feasibility study preparation team provided detailed explanations on aspects such as the background for initiating the project, the construction plan, key technologies, implementation conditions, and investment returns. During this period, the expert group carefully reviewed the feasibility study materials and listened to project presentations, asking questions regarding the technical feasibility, compliance, and practicality of the proposed solutions, and provided effective suggestions and optimization measures for the feasibility study plan. After thorough consideration, the experts present unanimously agreed that the project feasibility study report has a complete structure and comprehensive policy-related discussions; it meets the requirements for preparing feasibility studies of chemical industry investment projects and is in line with the trend of energy conservation and carbon reduction in the coal chemical industry. They approved the report. Next, Danfeng Chemical will take the lead in urging the drafting team to revise and improve the feasibility study document in light of the experts’ feedback, refine the project implementation plan, and accelerate the completion of all necessary preliminary procedures, thereby laying a solid foundation for the project’s approval and commencement of construction. Orchid Innovation and Beijing Tiandi Rongchuang intend to build a project capable of producing 100,000 tons of green methanol from biomass per year, building on the existing infrastructure of Shanxi Lanhua Danfeng Chemical Co., Ltd. They will also carry out experiments with flexible gas-flow bed gasification techniques, as well as research on using biomass gasification to produce green methanol. Shanxi Lanhua Danfeng Chemical Co., Ltd. uses coal as raw material and employs fixed-bed batch gasification to produce methanol and dimethyl ether. Affected by market and environmental factors, Orchid Danfeng Chemical Company is essentially shut down.
