In petroleum chemical plants, three-phase asynchronous motors are all connected in a Y configuration, and they use a four-wire connection. The ground wire is already connected to the motor terminals; is it necessary to connect another ground wire to the motor casing as well?
A wire has come loose at the terminal inside the motor, and it is connected directly to the ground terminal of the starter cabinet; is it still necessary to connect a ground wire separately on the motor casing?
I’m not an electrical engineer, but from what I see on site, everything needs to be connected
It is necessary; there are GB standards, and it falls under repeated grounding.
