May I ask if an explosion-proof junction box can be directly connected to a steel pipe using threads? From a regulatory perspective, just from a safety standpoint, is it safe?
If you think it’s easy to install that way, then it’s fine. The reason for using an explosion-proof hose between the metal pipe and the box is to facilitate installation. Both the metal pipe and the explosion-proof box are hard materials; to connect them perfectly while ensuring a tight seal, are you really sure you can do that? Which one should I install first? I really don’t know what you’re thinking
From a safety perspective alone, direct steel pipe connections are already unsafe; not to mention whether they are easy to install or not, a strong vibration in one of these connections will cause effects in the others as well. Flexible hose connections, on the other hand, can provide some level of cushioning. The above is just my personal opinion
I’m not quite sure about the question: if the flameproof chamber is equipped with an explosion-proof cable clamping connector, it can be connected directly to the steel pipe; otherwise, it’s not possible

Considering the explosion-proof nature of the enclosure, we will assume dⅡBT4 for now; this is the grade we use most often, as we are familiar with it. As long as it is sealed after being connected directly, it can also provide \"explosion isolation\" performance. However, the safety inspection is likely to fail. After all, there is no standard recognition for such seal compliance; it has not been tested, it’s just your own assumption. So although it is feasible in principle, it is not feasible in terms of legal principles.
