There is soft starting, and normal operation ensures that the current is kept at 600A. What’s a concern now is whether the cable can withstand the stresses during startup I hope everyone here can help out, thank you! PS: For a 185 dual-unit unit, a normal rating of around 900A should be fine.
A 1MW motor means 1000kW; it is definitely powered at 10kV voltage. The rated current of the motor is about 57A – so it must be a 10MW motor, right? The three-core 10kV, 185 square millimeter cable has a rated load current of 410 amps at an ambient temperature of 25 degrees; when two such cables are used together, the current capacity rises to 820 amps. By applying various coefficients, it can handle a current of around 600 amps, which is sufficient to meet the rated operating current requirements. It takes a few seconds to over ten seconds to start up, and there is no problem with withstanding the starting current for a short period of time.

The motor has a power of 1 MW and is powered at 380 V; its rated current is around 1520 A. Using cables with a cross-sectional area of 185 square millimeters is simply not sufficient for such requirements. It’s unbelievable that a motor with a power of 1000 KW operates at 380 V – and no one has ever mentioned this before
