After compiling and processing this information, spare parts management can be carried out. By using the equipment ledger along with process requirements, equipment can be classified. Once classified, and in line with standard requirements and equipment specifications, plans for equipment inspection frequencies, maintenance procedures, and major repair initiatives can be developed. It is important to maintain up-to-date equipment records, updating them as needed based on faults and load conditions. Additionally, work instructions should be created, taking into account safety and quality standards as well as the actual conditions on site, in order to establish rules and regulations for work orders, maintenance tasks, operations, and daily use.
