I work in the field of instrumentation. Now my company wants electrical and instrumentation tasks to be combined. As an instrumentation specialist, how should I learn the aspects related to electrical engineering, so that I can gradually take on independent responsibilities?
I think it’s better to start with the basic knowledge of electrical engineering, such as fundamental concepts related to power supply and distribution, the basic principles of devices like motors, transformers, and various electrical components.
Are there any materials or books you can recommend?
What do you mainly do in the electrical field? Installation, construction drawings?
New project construction, including coordination with design, construction, and maintenance after production.

The electrical field can be roughly divided into: generation (power production), transmission and distribution, and end-users. It is a highly specialized field with a great deal of content; there is a significant difference between instrumentation engineering and electrical engineering.
