Has anyone installed anti-vibration and staged restart devices in chemical plants? Has anyone used staged restart devices, and what are the results?

As required by the Ministry of Electricity, it has been 4 years since anti-vibration devices were installed on the powder feeders in power plants; almost all of these devices have been installed by now. The technology behind them is mature, and the results are excellent. But the cost is also high. It is recommended that you make adjustments based on the existing equipment – for example, by using frequency converters that can resist voltage fluctuations, introducing a DC power supply, and adding UPS units – to handle the situation flexibly. Whether to install devices to counter voltage fluctuations or to restart the system depends on the process requirements, as there are various possibilities.
Using permanent magnet contactors is also a solution to counter voltage fluctuations
Quick switching can also be used, but special contactors are required for certain low-voltage critical equipment, as the time it takes to complete quick switching is around a few hundred milliseconds; by that point the low-voltage contactor may have already released its hold, while high-voltage systems generally don’t pose any problems in such situations. Motor protectors now also have capacitors that allow the restart time to be set, but the range of possible times is quite limited. It is recommended to start critical equipment directly, while manually starting other equipment; this is because restarting during power fluctuations can cause spikes in voltage, and it’s not practical to wait a few seconds to avoid such spikes.
