If the plant has a single-circuit power supply, and the fire pump serta certain process loads are classified as Class 1 loads, requiring the installation of diesel generators, then does the capacity of these generators need to meet the requirements of both the fire protection systems and the process loads? If so, the motor’s starting current also needs to be taken into account, and the capacity of the diesel generator will have to be very large.
The capacity can only be determined by taking into account key facilities such as fire emergency response and the exhaust of toxic and harmful gases.
