Our company has many pieces of equipment that, for operational safety, use both low-voltage frequency conversion and motor protectors together, which results in poor performance during operation. Motor protectors often give false alarms, and their detection values are also inaccurate. To ensure the stable operation of the equipment, I changed Ma Bao’s protection settings to issue only alerts, using only inverter protection. Is it used this way? In some circuits that do not have frequency converters, the use of MBP alone prevented any false alarms; the MBP used was from Shenzhen Zhongdian. Is it because of Ma Bao’s own issues, and it just doesn’t work when used in combination?
There’s no need to use it that way; the inverter has very powerful functions, so there’s no requirement to connect an additional voltage stabilizer in series
Generally, this type of circuit is only used when switching to normal power frequency operation; the inverter’s built-in protection mechanisms are sufficient in frequency conversion mode
I can only say that your company is extremely wealthy; the frequency converters available there are very powerful, so why bother adding a Ma Bao as well?
The inverter itself has protection functions, so why is a motor protector needed? If lightning surges are a concern, a lightning surge controller can be used. Some frequency converters come equipped with a voltage fluctuation compensation function.
Are the voltage and current of the motor protector taken from the power side or the output side of the inverter?
The bypass can be used at line frequency, but using it for variable frequency is a poorly designed solution
