Can frequency converters, soft starters, and other devices be installed in MNS cabinets?

Hello, experts! Our client stated in the technical documents that variable frequency drives and soft starters (160KW) should be installed, and that the cabinets for these devices should be of the MNS type. I’m a bit confused because MNS cabinets are drawer-type cabinets, and it’s not possible to install variable frequency drives or soft starters in them; if they were installed, the cabinets would become GGD cabinets. But it’s the client who made this request, so we can’t argue against it. That’s why I’m coming here to ask the experts: Can a 160KW variable frequency drive or soft starter be installed in an MNS cabinet? And will it still be considered an MNS cabinet after installation? For low-power control, MNS drawer cabinets can be used; those with soft start functionality and variable frequency drive require GGD cabinets, right? Yes, MNS cabinets can be designed as drawer-type or fixed-type; inverters and soft starters can only be placed in MNS cabinets of the fixed-type design. Is your question why, since it’s being made as a fixed-type unit, GGD isn’t used? GGD is also cheaper, right? I estimate that there are still quite a few drawer-type MNS units in the distribution room. To ensure order and aesthetics, the client ordered them in a unified manner; therefore, fixed-type units as well were chosen to be MNS cabinets.
MNS is not the same as a drawer cabinet; it is a standard cabinet type defined by ABB, and the various cabinets within it can of course be used to accommodate different types of components.
