Who has a diesel hydrogenation unit for treating catalyzed diesel? Could you provide information on the changes in cetane number before and after hydrogenation of catalyzed diesel? Additionally, please indicate the operating pressure of the hydrogenation reactor. Thank you!
The cetane number decreases by 3~5 after hydrogenation.
Diesel hydrogenation increases the cetane number, while gasoline hydrogenation reduces the octane number
Personally, I think it should remain more or less the same or see a slight increase, of course under refined conditions; because whether the raw material contains more cyclic hydrocarbons or more linear hydrocarbons, hydrorefining should result in an increase in the cetane number
