I’m new to hydrogenation refining, and from the process diagrams I can see that the sulfur-containing wastewater resulting from the separation of light and heavy fractions is sent to the sulfiding agent tank. Why is that? What are the components of sulfur-containing wastewater?
Look at the diagram carefully to confirm whether it is a vulcanizing agent tank
I’ve never seen this process; the usual process is to go to the acidic water flash tank.

Generally, by the time water is injected, the reaction has already begun and H2S has been produced; it is best to send it to a sulfur treatment facility for processing.

There is a dedicated water injection tank for water injection! Prevent ammonium salts from crystallizing and blocking pipelines or equipment! The vulcanizer tank was used at the beginning of operation for the pre-vulcanization of the catalyst! It’s not even needed for normal production! Besides, using acidic water for injection means there’s no risk of corroding the pipelines! Water for injection should be demineralized water or softened water. It is recommended that you send a picture – what is the process used?
