Dear refining experts, have you noticed that since Hainan Refining & Chemical, the model refinery of the 21st century, adopted a full hydrogenation process in 2006, hydroprocessing units for residue have been built like mushrooms after rain – in Sichuan, Guangxi, Shanghai, Jinling, Yangzi, and Shijiazhuang. In Yunnan and other places, newly built refineries have primarily used fixed-bed residue hydrogenation units. Ten years have passed, and now Hengli and Shenghong’s new processes employ fluidized-bed residue hydrogenation. In my opinion, the next decade will be one of development for fluidized-bed residue hydrogenation. Do all of you experts agree with this view?
