The hydrocracking unit has a high conversion rate and produces a large amount of gasoline components; does the distillation column operate at elevated temperatures or reduced temperatures?
The bottom temperature should be kept stable, as this is necessary to ensure product stability. The amount of fuel gas used will likely increase, and the heat carried away by the vapor drawn from the top of the tower will also increase. If product stability is to be maintained, the temperature and pressure in the tower should not change much
It is recommended to look at the product’s test analysis data rather than guessing.
Firstly, in summer, the main consideration is whether the temperature at the top of the tower after cooling can be controlled. If it cannot be controlled, efforts should be made to reduce the temperature exiting the furnace in order to lessen the load on the tower top. If the temperature can be controlled, it depends on the operating strategy chosen: whether to improve the separation precision or allow some overlap within the oil product’s boiling range
With the raw materials remaining unchanged, I believe that after more cracking takes place, the bottom temperature should be reduced compared to before; ultimately, it depends on the product data
Cooling operation: increasing the temperature will only result in more light components (gasoline).
