For ordinary hydrogenation units, how is the utilization rate of hydrogen calculated?
Personally, it is recommended to first measure the hydrogen concentration at the inlet and outlet, the difference between these values, as well as the amount of hydrogen consumed, so as to calculate the utilization rate of hydrogen
If we simply calculate the total hydrogen consumption, it refers to the amount of new hydrogen added. For a more detailed calculation, we need to take into account the concentration of recycled hydrogen. If only chemical consumption is to be considered, the non-condensable gases at the top of the distillation tower and the light fraction gases should both be taken into account
