Hydrogenation units need to monitor the hydrogen concentration and water content; are there any corresponding requirements for dew point detection?
Detect hydrogen content; there’s no detection for water, right? Afraid of freezing at the dew point? ? ? ?
Why is the dew point of the circulating gas measured during vulcanization? And why is it measured on a regular basis?
Measuring water content may be based on corrosion considerations on the one hand, and on calorific value considerations on the other. If hydrogen is to be measured, it’s equivalent to measuring high-concentration hydrogen gas – would the difficulty and cost of such measurement not be too high? Would it be more feasible to measure water or other components in reverse?
Measuring the dew point of the circulating gas during vulcanization is likely done to ensure the effectiveness of the vulcanization process. If the water content is high during this process, certain reactions that we do not want to occur may take place, leading to various problems

Whether hydrogen is supplied as a supplement or in a circulating manner, there are specific requirements regarding its concentration; too low a concentration will result in a decrease in the hydrogen partial pressure, thereby affecting the hydrogenation reaction. Regarding moisture content testing, I think it’s necessary to take into account the fact that if there is a high amount of water carried along with hydrogen, the separation process in the compressor’s liquid separator may not be thorough enough; excessive liquid hydrogen entering the compressor can damage the gas valves. Moreover, if hydrogen contains a large amount of water, which is then introduced into the reaction system, it can easily cause pressure fluctuations in the system and damage the strength of the catalyst
