Things like insufficient stripping steam volume, too low a temperature at the bottom of the distillation column, insufficient reaction temperature, and so on. Are there any other reasons as well?
Take a diesel sample before it enters the fractional distillation tower and test its acid value to see if the reaction was incomplete and if oxygen has not been completely removed. If the effects of operating conditions are excluded, apart from a high acid value, is the total sulfur level high as well? Is it possible that the heat exchanger is leaking?
