I have a diesel upgrading unit with a processing capacity of 1.5 million tons. I would like to know: under summer operating conditions, without using a dewaxing reactor, how long does it take for the feed oil to pass through the unit? Also, if the sulfur content in the resulting diesel is too high, how long will it take for increasing the temperature of the heating furnace to have an effect? When adjusting the temperature at the top of the distillation tower, how long does it take to observe changes in the flash point? What is this related to? Pipe diameter or number of devices?

With so many pipelines and equipment, it’s difficult to make an accurate calculation; in other words, the amount of work required is considerable. The calculation needs to take into account factors such as the flow rate of the medium, pipe diameter, delivery pressure, and the volume of storage tanks. An approximate estimate can be obtained by recording the cumulative amount at the start of operation, or by using the time difference when the product is delivered – this will give a rough idea.
