Some factories use deoxygenated water, while others use demineralized water; but why do some insist on using deoxygenated water?
Both desalinated water and deoxygenated water can be used as hydrogenation feedwater, although desalinated water is more commonly used in the design of typical hydrogenation units. Deionized water: Also known as demineralized water, it is pure water obtained after almost all mechanical impurities and salts have been removed from water. Its conductivity should be less than 0.2 microsiemens per liter, and its silica content should be less than 20 milligrams per liter; it is suitable for use in high-pressure boilers. Deoxygenated water: It is water in which the dissolved oxygen in demineralized or softened water is removed, thereby reducing the damage caused by oxygen corrosion to equipment; high-pressure boilers require a dissolved oxygen level of less than 7 micrograms per liter. Deoxygenated water is produced by further removing dissolved oxygen from deionized water, and it provides greater protection for equipment by primarily preventing oxygen from reacting with the acids in oils to form polyoxysulfates. Based on practical production experience, demineralized water is suitable for injection; deoxygenated water is of course better, though it comes at a higher cost.
The two are different; demineralized water is the precursor to deoxygenated water, involving an additional processing step.
One is the standard version, and the other is the premium version~~~
