The check valve at the third-stage outlet of the new hydrogen generator in this unit keeps leaking internally. It was replaced once, but leakage occurred again after a short while of use. Each time it’s necessary to shut down the unit, it becomes much more difficult to do so. The company is planning to replace it; are pneumatic check valves less likely to leak internally? Why? Please provide a detailed explanation.
Under normal circumstances, check valves tend to leak internally, as they are not gate valves and do not have a shut-off function; therefore, we cannot use them as shut-off valves.
Prolonged exposure to airflow can damage the sealing surface of the check valve, resulting in internal leakage. A check valve that can solve the problem of air flow erosion would probably be better.
Use a ball valve with tracks for better sealing.
Reciprocating compressor valves can be used as one-way valves, offering excellent sealing performance; it is also possible to order a pipeline check valve from valve or compressor manufacturers. But it requires regular maintenance

The first is the check valve in the compressor’s outlet pipe, and the second is the compressor’s exhaust valve. These two work together to allow it to be determined the outlet pressure of each compressor. If the outlet pressure of the standby compressor is the same as that of the operating compressor, it indicates that there is a leak in the outlet check valve; if the outlet pressure of the standby compressor is the same as its inlet pressure, it means that the outlet check valve has no leaks. If it affects the cutting machine, it’s likely that the exhaust valve at the compressor outlet is also leaking internally.
Normally, there are two ball valves for the tracks and one check valve, which are operable
