The coalescer is used to remove trace water from the finished product, while the filter filters out impurities such as gums present in the finished product, with a filtration capacity of around 5 microns; the separator then further removes the impurities brought in from upstream
Aviation fuel has been dominated by a domestic filter manufacturer, haha:lol. The technology used for separating aviation fuel is quite low-quality; it’s not much different from the methods used for removing water from diesel
In simple terms, a coalescer is used for dewatering the finished product; a filter is used to remove impurities from the feed material (such as rubber powder and rust); and a separator is used to separate the components of a medium (for example, in cold fractionation, oil, water, and gas are separated from the oil produced through reaction).
Which one? Can you reveal it?
Currently, in China, coalescers for aviation kerosene can only be used by manufacturers that have been certified by the Civil Aviation Administration. But in reality, the dehydration and separation performance of these certified manufacturers is poor, and the filters need to be replaced every 3 months. We’re also fed up. Currently, refineries such as those in Karamay have no other choice but to use the coalescer provided by us, which is placed just before the coalescer that has already passed certification. The key is that we can use one operation cycle, without the need for replacement every 3 months.
