Personal opinion: First, reduce the temperature and the flow rate to an amount that meets the requirements of Pump B... Blocking it completely is not possible; if the minimum operating volume required by the device cannot be maintained, the decision will have to be based on the leakage level of pump A. The leakage is not severe (whether it’s severe or not depends on your company’s management and your experience), so steam can be used to cover up the issue and maintain production, while working quickly to clean the filter of pump A… Pump B cannot be used, as pump A is not capable of meeting the minimum required production volume. The unit can only reduce its temperature and flow rate, operate in circulation mode, or shut down. In fact, each pump has two filters, one in use and one as a backup. It’s impossible to block both at the same time; if that happens, it means your raw materials are of poor quality or your work is inadequate! Lacks responsibility!
This is an issue related to the management of the integrity and reliability of the equipment. The spare equipment must remain in good condition, both in terms of its functionality and its physical structure. If a pump leaks very slightly, certain measures can be taken to allow it to operate for a short period of time. But if the leakage amount is large, there are risks of fire or other serious issues. This can only be determined after conducting a risk assessment based on the conditions on site, to see whether the level of risk is acceptable. If it’s unacceptable, there’s no choice but to stop the car. Otherwise, if an accident occurs, it will be considered a liability accident.
