Is there a sequence for the preparation of the new hydrogen compressor, such as introducing isolated nitrogen first and then starting up the lubricating oil system? Isolate nitrogen injection from the intermediate packing and cylinder packing.
The new hydrogen compressor comes with its own instruction manual, and all operations must be carried out in accordance with the procedures specified in that manual. As preparatory work before this, it is very important to be familiar with the working principle of the equipment, for reference.
Actually, I share the same view as my seniors: these large-scale units generally come with their own operation instructions or guidelines, and they can’t be explained clearly just by a few words from us!
Once you understand the role of isolated nitrogen, you will know that it must be introduced first before starting the lubricating oil system, and the opposite is true when shutting it down.
Among water, gas, and oil, circulating water and nitrogen purge gas must be put into use first, before switching to lubricating oil.
For reciprocating compressors, there is no order requirement between these two
For reciprocating compressors, it doesn’t matter; but for centrifugal compressors equipped with dry gas seals, isolation gas must be supplied first.
Seal the isolation gas. Start first, then stop! Whether the isolation gas is used properly has a direct impact on the lifespan of the seal!
Reciprocating compressors have no such requirement; centrifugal compressors must first have their dry gas seals and isolation gases in place before the lubrication oil system can be started
