The heterogeneous dewaxing reactor increases the reaction temperature; does this result in higher or lower viscosity of the base oil? Why? Please provide a detailed explanation
Increasing the reaction temperature may raise the yield of some light components; however, the viscosity of the final base oil will not change significantly. The cloud point and pour point will decrease, and the yield will also drop. Therefore, do not rush to increase the reaction temperature as long as the product quality is maintained.
