How is full-tank operation carried out? Can anyone give some help?

Supercritical extraction in newly installed units. (Not yet in operation) The extractant in the unit circulates within the unit. The upper part of the tower contains the extractant, while the lower part contains the product. I hadn’t come across this before, so I didn’t know how to operate it; it’s a bit confusing to me. Isn’t it just using the tower as a thicker pipeline? There is a pump at the top of the tower to extract it. If the liquid level is too high, pressure builds up in the tower; if the liquid level is too low, won’t the pump get vacuumed? Which expert has experienced this? Please share your insights. In other words, what is the difference between this full-tower operation and normal tower operation? Where are the key points for operation?
