Do any of you know about those MW-class electrolyzers available on the market these days? What exactly does MW refer to in terms of the electrolyzer’s performance? Why distinguish scales by MW
It seems to be that type of hydrogen electrolyzer; MW refers to the power rating. If it is alkaline water, a larger size can be used. It’s just a difference in power consumption; for example, offshore wind power projects are typically measured in MW, and it’s not long before the capacity reaches the GW level. This is where electrolyzers are used in parallel.
